Christian Dior Spring/Summer 1998 Couture
When Lee McQueen, the founder of the Alexander McQueen clothing company, was found hung in his closet February 11th, fashion lovers everywhere mourned the death of not only a man, but a genius designer. The McQueen brand is well-known for creating innovative show-stopping clothing that are so finely made they could be called art. The outfits often appealed to celebrities who had a taste for the dramatic and avant-garde, such as Lady GaGa and Bjork. The question on everyone’s mind after McQueen’s death was “How is the company going to go on without Lee’s mind behind it?” Well this link shows fashion shots of the newest McQueen collection, the first designed without Lee overseeing the line. Personally, I think the pieces are beautiful. I love outfit numbers 9, 10, 14, and 15.
